In addition to the fact that tabular data provides a quicker and clearer summary of the basic information about the dish, which is important because we want the article to be user-friendly, using an infobox helps search engines position and display the article better due to the metadata. Based on all the aforementioned, I would kindly ask you to conduct another analysis to determine whether it was necessary to remove the infobox from the article on Karađorđeva šnicla. -- Немања 93 (talk) 05:26, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Infoboxes are not required in articles, but that is a good reasoning. I also had a look at our Food GAs and I see that infoboxes are present in most cases, so I'll restore the infobox but only with parameters that are properly sourced in the article. Nintendo edit last year

[edit]

Sorry to bug you over a routine edit you made last year, but it's a real head scratcher. Nintendo has a [non sequitur] tag referring to controversial video games as "simply games", and looking back in the history I see that you changed "pornographic" to "simply" during a script-based edit. (Special:Diff/1149162953) Do you have any idea how this could have happened? Thanks! QuietCicada chirp 22:14, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The User:Ohconfucius/script/Common Terms.js script did that. For some reason, the script replaces the word "pornographic" with "simply" as seen on regex(/\[\[(?:pornography\||)(porn|pornograph(y|ic))\]\]/gi, 'simply');. Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 22:18, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Huh. I'll go change it back now. Thanks again QuietCicada chirp 22:35, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Myogonji Kitsune (16:07, 4 September 2024)

Thanks! I'm almost done with translating a new page, but since I'm new I should leave it as a draft and wait until someone reviews it? --Myogonji Kitsune (talk) 16:07, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Myogonji Kitsune:. I've left some useful links on your talk page. I recommend submitting the article via WP:Articles for creation, considering that you'll get additional feedback on whether the article is ready for mainspace or not. The article looks alright to me, though I'd recommend adding references to the "Select Filmography" section like you already did in other parts of the article. DCWC September update

The Developing Countries WikiContest has now been running for two months, and we've seen tremendous improvement in the encyclopedic coverage of several underrepresented areas from a wide range of editors! Only one month remains until the end of the contest, so it's time to make your remaining nominations! Please consider answering some review requests, particularly the older entries, as a way of helping out your fellow participants and moving up the leaderboard. Good luck!

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/1990 Serbian constitutional referendum. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, 1990 Serbian constitutional referendum), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

DCWC submission declined

[edit]

Hey Vacant0, and thanks for your contributions in the Developing Countries WikiContest. I've had to decline your submission of this FAC review as it is unfortunately too short to award points for. Please see the relevant section of the scoring rules for more information. However, it looks like the candidate has not yet received a source review, so I discussed it with another coordinator and we agreed that your submission could be accepted if you conducted one. I hope you'll consider that, and please let me or another coordinator know if you have any questions! TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 15:30, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine, and thanks for informing me about that. I did notice that a source review was not performed for that FACR, so I'll do it myself then. Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 15:33, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I've noticed that you've been improving the game article over the last few days. I could see that you removed a passage from it, due to the lack of sources to support it. I'm referring to the paragraph explaining that certain pieces of the soundtrack were taken from The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones series. I myself have tried to find internet sources to this effect in the past, without success. However, I did notice that the game's own credits did mention the episodes in the series from which the tracks in question were taken, and the respective composers of these episodes. This can be seen in this YouTube video at 5:28. I'm not sure if this represents an acceptable source on Wikipedia, but I wanted to point it out in case it might be useful to you. Sorcier du Lac (talk) 04:48, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, we can use the credits as a source. I've added the material to the article. Thanks for spotting that in the credits. Vacant0 (talkcontribs) 11:14, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
