Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ibn al-Nafis, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Galenic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:21, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your DRN Request

[edit]

Your DRN request was entered manually, and has been removed because dispute resolution requests should be entered using the template provided for the purpose. Not using the template causes the bot to become confused. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:26, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You requested an admin. Most of the volunteers at the noticeboard are not admins, and it is not necessary for the moderator to be an admin in order to mediate a dispute. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:27, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute Resolution Noticeboard

[edit]

Your posting at DRN was removed because it was done manually rather than clicking the "Request Dispute Resolution" button, answering the questions, and filling out the forms. Manually listing breaks DRN's automated listing and maintenance bot. A couple of tips:

  • The folks who work at DRN are not administrators.
  • They don't make judgments or decisions about articles. They only provide a venue for moderated discussion with a hope that the editors involved in a dispute can come to consensus.
  • Be sure to remember that if you file a case at DRN that it is your obligation to include all significant participants at the article talk page and that it is your obligation to notify them of the filing by putting a notice on their user talk page. A notice only at the article talk page will not suffice. There's a template noted at the top of the DRN page to make that a little easier.
  • Participation at DRN is voluntary, so if the other participants in the dispute don't care to join in at DRN then the case may be closed for insufficient participation.

Thanks for utilizing dispute resolution. Regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 17:29, 2 May 2018 (UTC) (Not watching this page)[reply]

Question

[edit]

Here you write: "My image is older and more historical one. Wikipedia rules favours historical images over modern illustrations."

Could you please point out me to where on Wikipedia this rule is? Thank you, Huldra (talk) 21:39, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Huldra, I am not quite sure, however, when I tried to add an image for Abbas ibn Firnas article here, my edit got reverted. From what I got, it was because the image being a random modern illustration. I might be wrong, so don't take my word for it.
Anyway regarding Alhazen article, i still think my image is more appropriate. An old historical image is much better then modern imaginary illustrations IMO. Viaros17 (talk) 11:19, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the problem is the one I mentioned here, try googling for Ibn Khaldun, Ibn al-Haytham or Ibn Tufail...and you get the exact same picture for all 3!! I believe it is the picture of Ibn al-Haytham, at least it is the exact picture that was on the Iraqi notes, and they (hopefully) did some research. Therefor I wanted it for the lead for the Ibn al-Haytham article (hopefully google will catch up one day...) Huldra (talk) 20:31, 4 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your uploaded photo

[edit]

I just noticed that you uploaded a fair use file, while I was here to state that there's no need for that (Al-Maari bust) since similar file is uploaded under creative commons license. However it appeared to be uploaded by you. You may want to ask for its deletion (I am afraid that you'll just leave it there!). And avoid doing that in the future. Talk page edits

[edit]

Please could you refrain from constant fiddling edits to ancient talk page comments of your own? It doesn't contribute much, and is vexing to editors looking for new discussion. Of course where a significant error has been made it is fine to fix it, but what you're doing just generates a huge amount of watchlist spam. Pinkbeast (talk) 21:00, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Aladdin and Javiero Fernandez

[edit]

Hi - having a little bother with the above - I've been very patient (I think) but he's not letting up the tiniest bit. Noticed you've had some bother with him over One Thousand and One Nights and hoped you might like to butt in. No worries if you're not interested, of course. --Soundofmusicals (talk) 21:52, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
