Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Wikky21! I'm Belwine and an active editor here. Thank you for your changes. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or send me a message on my talk page. I like to help new people, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like Wikipedia and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! β€”Belwine β€’ πŸ’¬ β€’ πŸ“œ 11:21, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you are copying pages from the English Wikipedia, please simplify and add attribution. Thank you. β€”Belwine β€’ πŸ’¬ β€’ πŸ“œ 11:23, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you need help understanding how to attribute see Wikipedia:Transwiki attribution. If you need help with simplifying please see the links above that Belwine posted. Otherwise the articles will end up getting deleted if they are complex and not attributed. -Djsasso (talk) 13:37, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please can you also ensure that your articles have written content in them? This article has the title rewritten, with tables and an infobox... β€”Belwine (talk) 14:03, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The tables are content and are fine. -Djsasso (talk) 12:42, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese Olympic Teams

[change source]

Hello. Thank you for helping expand articles relating to association football in Japan. For Olympic Squads after 1992, please add them to Japan national under-23 football team when you decide to create the article. The rest can be put on Japan national football team. Thank you, and have a good day. ShadowBallX (talk) 04:48, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please make sure you remove red linked categories that don't exist when you are creating articles. We don't keep red link categories on articles here. -Djsasso (talk) 12:42, 18 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome, and thanks very much for your recent changes to Wikipedia. However, please take a moment to review your changes for spelling, grammatical, capitalization, and punctuation errors before you save. This will help lessen the editing others must do on the article, and will help keep Wikipedia looking neat and professional.

This message is not meant to discourage you from changing Wikipedia but rather to encourage the best possible writing from our authors. Please take a look at the Manual of Style and the welcome page to learn more about changing this encyclopedia. Thank you. PotsdamLamb (talk) 04:38, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:TEPCO Mareeze players. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles. If you think there might be more pages to add to the new category, please add them now. Thank you. Belwine (talk) 09:37, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I will create many footballer articles. In the next few days, I'll add players articles to the category. Thank you. --Wikky21 (talk) 10:15, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you for your changes hereΒ :) β€”Belwine (talk) 10:16, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Wikky21. Please do not be concerned about grammar etc. You are doing quite well at it, and even native English speakers make errors. The one point you miss is the article "the". It is a very small error and does not change the meaning of the sentence at all. Articles are almost impossible for non-native English speakers to get right all of the time. If you want an example look here at my changes. It is great to have non-native English speakers contribute here, and there are many pages about Japanese topics that need your help. γ‚ˆγ‚γ—γγŠγγŒγ„γ—γΎγ™οΌ--Gotanda (talk) 08:47, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful using this template as I noticed you added it to a bunch of articles when the subjects had no links. Doing so puts an error on the page. I have cleaned up the 50 or so that you had already done that were causing errors. Try to only add that template when there are links to be shown. -Djsasso (talk) 13:41, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikky21: I want to reiterate what is said just above this. I see you created more articles tonight. Please go back through them and remove the {{sports link}} from the Other websites section. I have done two for you. Thanks PotsdamLamb (talk) 07:30, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Djsasso said "Be careful using this template as I noticed you added it to a bunch of articles when the subjects had no links." When the article have a link, we don't have to remove {{sports link}}. Wikky21 (talk) 07:40, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Wikky21: If you look at the page though you’ll see the category is red and that means there is no link. Basically there is no sports link for these articles you are creating (I.e. Japanese Football) so it will always create an error. We do not have the same things the English Wikipedia is because we are much smaller. Also as I stated above please check your spelling and grammar. One I’ve noticed that seems to be universal is β€œ She plays for Japan national team.” that should read β€œ She plays for the Japan national team.” PotsdamLamb (talk) 07:53, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Djsasso said about red link, Category:Articles using sports links with no data in Wikidata. For example, Yuki Tsuchihashi (old version). Where is that red link now? Wikky21 (talk) 08:21, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That was an article where he removed the sports link. Once the sports link is removed the two red categories will disappear in a few seconds added saving it. PotsdamLamb (talk) 08:27, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:MobileDiff/7394651&type=revision&diffmode=source (Sorry it’s mobile because I’m heading to bed). In this comparison you can see where he deleted the sports link. PotsdamLamb (talk) 08:29, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Then, why did you remove this sports link? This article had links, FIFA, Soccerway and WorldFootball. Wikky21 (talk) 08:40, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is perfectly acceptable to use it when it has links like that page does. It is only when there are no links displayed that it is an issue. The red linked category should disappear if there are links added. If it hasn't then its a cache issue and you can make it go away by editing the page and saving without changing anything and that should fix it. Sometimes purging the page can also work but usually you have to do the first thing I mentioned. -Djsasso (talk) 18:31, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It was showing errors at the time. That is why it was removed. It looks like it is fixed now. You are always more than welcome to revert changes I make. PotsdamLamb (talk) 19:51, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Djsasso: and @PotsdamLamb: Okay. Thank you for reply. Wikky21 (talk) 07:12, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Thank you for creating Category:Bosnia and Herzegovina football managers. However, we normally need at least three pages in a category before it is created. Because categories are a way to group together similar articles, there is no need to create a new category for just one or two articles.
