Hi. I noticed you reverted my edit where I redirected the album to the Dane Bowers article. The issue is that the album fails the criteria at WP:NALBUM - unreleased albums are rarely notable (even if the press have had a copy), and without significant coverage in reliable sources I don't see that there's a plausible case for a standalone article for the album. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The Bill S23

[edit]

Regarding your edits on The Bill series 23. A: Multiple parters on every series with titles are one page section, not separate. B: Do not add links if there is no page for it. "Red links" just make a page look messy. C: You've cut several episodes out and wrongly put them on the series 24 page. Even if they had different broadcasts elsewhere in the world, they still go in the order of their original ITV broadcast, so that's being changed back. If you have an issue, address it to staff here, but don't revert the edits. Edit warring is against the policy. 108.180.241.236 (talk) 06:23, 3 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello YeahYeahYeah19, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to List of unsolved murders in the United Kingdom has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 16:00, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox television

[edit]

Please do not make edits like this to articles using {{Infobox television}}. The code you added to the image field is unnecessary and only results in a spurious display, {{Unbulleted list}} is absolutely pointless when there is only one entry in a field and "narrator" is not a valid field in the infobox. The correct field is narrated. Similarly, "16:9", is not a valid picture format. Please also not that imdb is not a reliable source and cannot be used as a refernce. I fixed these errors in my earlier edits to the article,[1] so I am somehwat puzzled as to why you would reintroduce them. --AussieLegend () 07:31, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello YeahYeahYeah19, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Crime Stories (UK TV series) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation.

Thank you. AussieLegend () 07:44, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agreeing to disagree does not mean that you get to put it back up when it's in dispute. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, YeahYeahYeah19. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Harry nikki leo 2.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Harry nikki leo 2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:44, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, YeahYeahYeah19. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello,
While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation.
(There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article.
If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that you understand and follow these practices, as policy requires those who persistently do not, must be blocked from editing.
 Cheers! Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard 10:11, 10 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Collateral (TV series)

[edit]

Hello YeahYeahYeah19,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Collateral (TV series) for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Collateral (miniseries).

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi, I have removed you viewing data from the Marcella wiki page. These were not from the BARB and did not include ITV+1. On the BARB the first episode got more that 4.4M on 7 day data section. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:34, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Red Rock summaries

[edit]

Good job on these, but when I have tried to contribute, you have repeatedly reversed my contributions, which have been explained in footnotes, without explanation.

Wikipedia is, above all, a collaborative project. Please explain:

Why you thing the word 'qualms' should be rendered 'quams', and the place Dunedin as Duneden?
Why we should not include in the summary of what episodes showed such important plot elements as Patricia's enabling Michael's escape; Laser's murder, by Robbie's hand, of the go-it-alone dealer (whose name escapes me: Little Willy, or something similar); Claire's travel to Australia with Grace; Rory's killing of Robbie (apologies that I had called him Bobbie in my edit there and in one other place); Keith's betrayal of the trust his family have shown in him; and Laser's threat to Rory?
Why, in a brief summary, it is better to have 10 words ("it's not long before Rory is trying all he can") rather than 2 words ("Rory tries")?
Why, given that Wikipedia does not expect or recommend euphemisms, the encyclopaedia should have the coy "turns to Rory for comfort" rather than a clear statement that they has drunken sex in a pub toilet?
What purpose is served by informal language, usually eschewed in an encyclopaedia, ("station bigwigs") rather than the more factual and proper "influential politicians": that junior minister was not employed at the Red Rock Garda station.

I am several episodes behind in watching this, and hope to be catching up with what is on my set-top box this week. And because I believe that Wikipedia should have good summaries of series, I may look to clarify what you have put in your contributions, and possibly add something that I believe is important that you might have omitted. I hope that you will accept this as being my effort at collaboration, and consider the reasons that I might put in edit notes, and not repeat this blind, unexplained reversion behaviour. Extended Copying

[edit]

Hi there. I've noticed a couple of pages you've made while doing new page patrol. In these pages you have copied extended portions of a review into the Wikipedia page. While you have cited and noted where the content comes from this still is a copyright issue. When copying please consider paraphrasing and only using select sentences from the source. If you have questions about this please let me know either by pinging me here or leaving me a talk page message. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 16:32, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Hello :
You reverted a change I made with this edit; there was no explanation, and no obvious reason why, so I've changed it back. To be clear; Ingvar Hirdwall plays Martin Beck's neighbour (the oddball character with the neck brace); grannen isn't his name, it's just the Swedish for "neighbour". And we should be writing in English here, not Swedish. Regards, Swanny18 (talk) 23:23, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PS: And servitören means "waiter", so I've changed that too. Swanny18 (talk) 23:25, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey YeahYeahYeah19, I've noticed you created two TV articles lately - Through My Eyes (TV drama) and Gifted (TV drama). Please take note that the disambiguation you've used "(TV drama)" is not correct and is not supported by Wikipedia. Please use "(TV series)" instead. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me or read WP:NCTV. Thank you. --Gonnym (talk) 23:00, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I was just about to leave a message about this myself – if these are "one-off" TV dramas, they are effectively TV movies and should be disambiguated with "(film)"; if they consist of multiple episodes (e.g. 4 or more), then Gonnym is correct – they belong at "(TV series)" (in most situations). If you have any questions about this, you can contact myself or Gonnym, or post queries at WT:NCTV. --IJBall (contribstalk) 00:30, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Case (TV series) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, The Case (TV series), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks for creating Walter (2014 film).

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process.

You might want to check for disambiguation issues on pages you create (or incorrect links), as with Richie Campbell and Danny Cohen.

A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). Half Way There Tour moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Half Way There Tour, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sharman (TV series), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Clarence Smith and Keith Allen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:08, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
