Verteuil-sur-Charente (French pronunciation: [vɛʁtœj syʁ ʃaʁɑ̃t], literally Verteuil on Charente, before 1962: Verteuil)[3] is a commune in the Charente department in southwestern France.
The village is dominated by the Château de Verteuil.[4]
