2025 WMF World Cup

The WMF World Cup, is an international minifootball competition among the senior men's national teams of the members of the World Minifootball Federation (WMF), the sport's global governing body.[1] The tournament is played as six-a-side 50-minute format.

The tournament has been held every two years since the inaugural tournament in 2015, which was held in the United States. Tunisia hosted the 2017 tournament, making it the only edition held in Africa.[2] The third edition held in Australia in 2019.[3] The tournament was not played in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently the United Arab Emirates, who hosted the 2023 tournament.[4] The next tournament will be hosted by Azerbaijan between 21 May to 1 June 2025.[5]

The United States won the title on home soil in 2015. The Czech Republic won the second edition title in 2017.[6] After reaching the final twice in 2015 and 2017, Mexico managed to win the title in 2019.[7] The current champion are Romania, who won the title at the last edition in 2023.[8] Individual awards are given out at the end of each tournament.
