Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ruchita Misra (2nd nomination)
- The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the article's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.
The result was no consensus to delete. Closing as no consensus at this time because the basis for keeping is weak, but there is no reason to expect that relisting will yield a different outcome. Irrespective of notability conferred by the award, authorship of a best-selling book is another point of potential notability which needs to be better substantiated. No prejudice against renomination for deletion if no improvement is made in this direction. BD2412 T 16:14, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

Was deleted in 2021, and nothing has changed since then. Not enough in-depth coverage from independent, reliable sources to pass WP:GNG. Was moved to draft in hopes of improvement, but moved back without improvement. Onel5969 TT me 10:36, 17 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep: She is a recipient of Awadh Samman. Her books has been also a subject of an article in The Times of India and her book has been listed as Bestseller in The Hindu. 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐭𝟕𝟐𝟖🧙♂️Let's Talk ! 14:44, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

- Keep per comment by LordVoldemort728, explains why Musra is notable.Historyday01 (talk) 01:22, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment - Not sure being the recipient of the Awadh Samman is grounds for auto notability.Onel5969 TT me 01:45, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Keep Recipient of Awadh Samman which was given by government of Uttar Pradesh. Her book has been listed best seller on The Hindu. Also I have got some reference on Google and added them. Satisfying WP:GNG. Nomadwikiholic (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 06:52, 23 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment - once again the Awadh Samman is not enough to show notability. It is a state, not national award.Onel5969 TT me 19:25, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- Weak delete. I'm unimpressed with the sources; the best I see are [1], [2], and [3], and these are borderline at best. The award also sounds a little more impressive than it seems to be after a detailed examination; if it were a significant award, why is it not reported on more often? As best as I can tell, even the UP government does not maintain a list of awardees. Vanamonde (Talk) 15:52, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
