Wikipedia:Editor review/Ironholds 3

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ironholds (talk · contribs) This is my third Editor Review, I believe. The aim of this is nothing admin-related, unlike quite a few (including one of my previous ones); I just want to know if there's anything obvious I need to improve/streamline. Ironholds 00:21, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hey, Ironholds. From looking over your contribs (fairly briefly, I must admit), you seem to be doing well. Good work with Twinkle, great deletion work stand out. You're doing pretty good anti-vandalism work, though it's good to see you branching out. You might want to mark more edits as minor (a flaw of mine, also) when you are doing small cleanup tasks on articles. You might want to edit the mainspace talk namespace a little more; you have only 130 edits there. If you want to gain more policy knowledge, you can contribute more to the Wikipedia namespace, I see you have 800 there, so that's good. Overall, you are a wonderful editor, and I think adminship is not far off. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Erik the Red 2 ~~~~ 00:35, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • You're a very friendly editor, but I'm concerned with all those plagiarism concerns from the ODNB articles. When someone takes a concern up with you, I've noticed you are sometimes dismissive. Understandable, it may be annoying, but it's really important that you cite works properly and not directly copy. Keep up the good work on the law articles and whatnot. Best wishes, – How do you turn this on (talk) 23:12, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
The article on Thomas Prince, which I mentioned last time, is still one of my proudest achievements; while i've written longer, better and more detailed articles, I feel i've put the most effort into this one. Other highlights for me include the articles on Tillamook (tribe) and Lepreum. These are (relatively) old; the newer articles i've written up are normally adapted from other sources, and as such I dont feel i've put as much effort in.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
My current realm (pre-1880 British politics) doesnt really lend itself to conflict; I encounter few other users, and the ones I have met are normally nice and helpful
