Source page at Flickr shows this photo as "all rights reserved", so this image has two copyrights - the photographer's and the sculptor's. It would be possible to replace this with a "more free" image without a photographer's copyright. Kelly ^hi! 03:53, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As the editor who provided the "fair use reduced" version of the file, which was originally uploaded by another editor, I agree with Kelly's assessment. I'll look for a replacement image. Beyond My Ken (talk) 04:03, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I look at the documentation, I recall now what happened: The file was originally uploaded to Flickr, where it passed Flickr review. (This means that the photographer must have changed the rights on the photograph, as it would never has passed Flickr review with the "All rights reserved" tag it has now.) It was deleted from Commons because of Freedom of Panorama concerns as not being appropriate there, so I uploaded it here under NFCC/fair use, and later provided a fair-use reduction. I'm not sure that the Flickr contributor changing the rights is valid, but it's not worth arguing about, so I've replaced it with a Flickr image which is CC BY-SA 2.0, so there's no question (at least at this point) about the photographer releasing their rights with a compatible license, while the rights to the underlying material (the sculpture) being covered by the NFCC/fair use statement. Keep - I believe this is a rigid and harmful way of looking at NFCC. The icon unquestionably imparts knowledge to the user in the way that any icon or logo does; that we don't have a paragraph specifically commenting on the logo is not in and of itself enough to delete it, because there is a paragraph about the product itself (Netscape Now!) to which the icon is specifically adding in a visual manner. Logos are in cases like this are ipso facto educational. It is my strong opinion that fair use was specifically created for instances like this, and if this image is deleted, it will significantly hamper the educational ability of the article and be a net negative for Wikipedia.
