- Delete. Uploader indeffed for copyvios in Dec. 2011 and has an immense number of deleted contributions due to copyvio. His entire catalog of uploads should be carefully reviewed. —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 08:52, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- These images must have been pictured long before 2006. I don't know where the uploader got them, but I'm very sure that they came from another source. --George Ho (talk) 17:46, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Keep as a CC-by-3.0 image (most restrictive combination of the PD-textlogo and your source image from the Commons file). I've modified the licensing accordingly. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:11, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Clearly more than text and simple geometric shapes. J Milburn (talk) 19:27, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes actually I wasn't sure which tag to use, it does have more than text and shapes, but the image used is also in the PD because I used commons:File:Government Seal of Colombia.svg, and there are plenty more that I could've used (it is the coat of arms of Colombia afterall) in any case, I was a little confused because the guided form didnt really give me an option for a work of mine but using trademarked pd-shapes and text + an someone's SVG coa. Any idea how can properly tag it then? mijotoba (talk) 19:52, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Anyone? any help to properly categorize this file?mijotoba (talk) 17:27, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Unsourced and a search doesn't show this image as being on on Florida government site. NtheP (talk) 21:54, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Hi there. I'm the one that uploaded this photograph. I was rather certain that I grabbed it from the Florida House of Reps site, but checking back now, I can't find it! I don't really know what I'm supposed to do in this situation, and am kind of embarrassed for both uploading a photo that I didn't keep track of and mistagging it as in the public domain. I'll poke around and try to find where I got this photograph, and also try to determine the copyright status of it. If it has to be removed in the interim... well, it's my fault for not having everything organized! Havensfire (talk) 04:16, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Hey, happy to wait while you dig around. I know it's the frequently used image of him, and that was what worrried me that it might be a press agency photo rather than a Fl-Gov one. NtheP (talk) 07:04, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, it looks like I've accidentally uploaded the wrong photograph of the guy. Not only that, but the official photograph had already been uploaded to Wikipedia, and just wasn't in the infobox on his page (which is the only reason I wanted to upload a picture). So... How do I go about deleting the photograph I uploaded? I'm really new to this whole thing. Havensfire (talk) 15:48, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- If you really want it deleting, I can do that for you. NtheP (talk) 19:02, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, I can't find the copyright on it, and I don't think I should just leave it there. Could you delete it, please? Thanks for everything! Havensfire (talk) 12:17, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Unclear copyright status. Was this taken by the uploader? If not, on what authority do they release it under a free license? J Milburn (talk) 22:30, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This image appears in many place uncredited and non-copyrighted. I found a couple of places of attribution to Ann Harkness. Her Flickr account has Creative Commons license, but didn't find this image particularly. With these two pieces I deduced it was CC also, but could be incorrect. Is there anyway to find out for sure? It appears on lots of websites. Just in case I am uploading another one I found on Flickr from another photographer that clearly has CC license.
