note: the stats are one year old (the bot stopped operating). It is unlikely that page views per city have changed dramatically though... It might be worth it to get fresh data from quary tool though.

Amongst most viewed african cities back then : Kankan, Cape Town, Alexandria, Cairo, Johannesburg, Lagos, Casablanca, Marrakesh etc.

Directions of action

Most large African cities have already an infobox set up (the summary box on the top right of an article). However, in general, rather few properties are populated. Todo: go through the list of all main cities of a country (or a region) and add information to the infobox (such as the coordinates, the anthem, the population census data, the elevation, the phone area code etc.)
Check the list of cities in countryW article for a country and add a list of all main cities along with the appropriate information (a good example of such a list page is List of cities in France)
Check out a list of rather well done articles below and review them (copyedit, add sources, check for the most recent data, improve style). For example Antananarivo, Port Louis, Maputo, Mogadishu, Dar es Salaam, Accra, Addis Ababa, Lagos, Cape Town, Nairobi, Abidjan. Most of the well advanced articles are capitals.
Pick up the lesser developed capitals and flesh them (make sure all relevant sections are included, add the most important elements, kill long lists...). For example Lilongwe, Kigali, Lusaka, Porto-Novo, Ouagadougou, Conakry, Bamako, Lomé, N'Djamena, Kinshasa, Brazzaville, Libreville
