Oh noes

[edit]

Oh noes... I sense another YOU GOT TOO MANY NOMS SO GO AWAY --Hirohisat 紅葉 07:39, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not really? I didn't even oppose... obviously, as an anon. It's not a poor reflection on Eddie, just a reflection on the poor judgement of the people who added the third/fourth/fifth/sixth noms. I see this is another MISCHARACTERISE OTHER PEOPLE'S COMMENTS SO THAT YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO IGNORE THEM. 86.137.25.192 18:47, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why don't you log back in, and participate? :) SQL(Query Me!) 19:34, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say something about AGF but I get the feeling it'd be lost on you. Never had an account, 'fyi', online communities don't interest me. But I am interested in how Wikipedia works as it is a top ten website and the most frequent reference for information for people with internet access. It's a bit sad that 'Wikipedians' can't cope with the idea of 'anonymous' editing, even though they allow it and it is apparently an OK thing to do. It's not as if you need to be a frequent contributor to get an idea of how Wikipedia works, I browse RFA, ANI and RFARB ocassionally just to see how things are panning out in wiki-land. Your attitude (and the other attitudes expressed here) is exactly why I don't bother registering on online 'communities' - people are really rude for no real reason. And I love that the big issue here is that I'm 'anonymous' and not how retarded it is to add the sixth nomination to an RFA (or to copy and paste a nomination from months ago, for that matter).
P.S. The whole 'no previous contribs' thing is a bit of a non sequitur as my IP is dynamic. 86.137.25.192 19:57, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Co-noms

[edit]

This RfA originally included 6 co-noms, as seen here. I notified the users, of course, when I removed them, as suggested in the discussion section of this RfA. This is just for anyone who's curious :-) --Agüeybaná 15:54, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :) However, I see that you didn't notify Politics Rule? Correct me if I'm wrong. 86.137.25.192 18:57, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Pat is no longer actively with us. Anyway, he did not nominate me himself; it was copied and pasted from by last RfA by Hirohisat. I feel as if it is not necessary to notify him. I will, of course, do it, if you, or anyone else, request it :-) --Agüeybaná 19:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh right. How strange... never mind ;) 86.137.25.192 19:28, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Question 5

[edit]

Eddie, I'm just curious to know what your thought-process is behind removing admin tools from admins who don't use them for five months? I could conjecture, but I'm more interested in what you have to say about it. Also, what do you think about RfA candidates who don't nominate themselves for adminship, but accept and are unlikely to use the tools? Are they power-hungry too? Into The Fray T/C 19:23, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The policy regarding removal of sysop rights because of inactivity can be found at commons:Commons:Administrators/De-adminship. Anything you want and don't want to know about that can be found there. What do I think about it? Nothing; I just entirely agree with it. Regarding your second question, yes, the same principles apply. --Agüeybaná 20:22, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Am I wrong or does your response seem a little ... terse? I fully admit I could be. If you thought my question was argumentative, I apologize; I was really just looking for your thought process, not a debate. I read the policy and the corresponding talk page. Thanks.
