This article seems to be a frequent target for new users who want to see their company added to the list of external links. Nawlinwiki removed the list of links a few weeks ago. I caught MCAuser2013 adding a link to the list that had again grown to twelve companies. I removed the list again. Within half an hour the list had returned with four links. One user in particular, Doubletiger, has four edits to his name, all of which consist of adding a spam link. MCAuser2013 seems particularly interested in inserting one business link, but he has also inserted others. DPRoberts534 (talk) 16:59, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

The user is almost exclusively concerned with cite-spamming the above two websites (and possibly others also under his control). According to the WHOIS information for the domains, and to the "About us" sections of the websites, the two websites are operated by someone whose name matches the Wikipedia user name. The user has been repeatedly warned about spamming (and other disruptive editing) but his only response has been to blank the warnings and continue the spamming. Spam notifications regarding educationupdate.com

Articles citing educationupdate.com are being tagged for citing a blacklisted domain. From Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam/LinkReports/educationupdate.com, I infer that the issue is that in 2010 a sockpuppet user added many links to a particular topic or item published on that website. I don't see any reason why the entire website of the newspaper Education Update should be treated as a blacklisted domain. --Orlady (talk) 15:30, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Alternate way of locating https entries which don't show up

This has been an issue for several years now - that Special:LinkSearch doesn't seem to work for locating https links in articles. Has anyone located an alternate method to locate these? Alternately, does anyone know if this issue has this ever been addressed at WP:VP/T? I tried doing an archive search, but couldn't locate a prior discussion on it. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 20:35, 25 September 2013 (UTC)

Special:Linksearch/https://*.example.com. My tool already supports https in bulk and it is trivial to search all protocols on one wiki (yes, that means I will do it... tomorrow). MER-C 13:19, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I noticed that Creeklife report I made earlier was using primarilly https, so wasn't showing via the default search link in the {{LinkSummary}} template.
