good to see

'you are still around - the old scene of a busy perth project seems to be a thing of the past, but funny there is a meetup this saturday afternoon - we have a few enthusiasts still around despite the changes...' satusuro 13:27, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, long time no see! Yeah, I just noticed there's a meet-up! I tend to notice only when one has just passed. I've been pondering a few Perth articles lately that could use some attention; just need to get around to doing something about it! I feel like it's been forever since I've edited "properly". I'll have to read up before jumping too far back in. What are you working on at the moment? Somno (talk) 13:32, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A lot... this year I travelled to Edinburgh as I was on the short list for the WP in residence there... then went to Hong Kong for wikimania got very enthused - and came back and as a result decided to go with [1], along with [2] and [3] apart from trying to work on a few other things ... satusuro 13:39, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, you have been busy! I feel so far out of the loop! I guess I should just start small. Somno (talk) 13:44, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not out of the loop really, if there is stuff you wanna do - just do it. It aint gonna go anywhere (well most of it) - but I know if there are areas that need fixing up - great! I wont be able to get to this meetup, but I do know that there are some eds who have gone on to other things, but despite that the new crowd have their ideas and are really self sufficient to the point they keep plodding on as well... satusuro 13:47, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request for comment

Hello there, a proposal regarding pre-adminship review has been raised at Village pump by Anna Frodesiak. Your comments here is very much appreciated. Many thanks. Jim Carter through MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:46, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Erik Telford (activist) listed at Redirects for discussion

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Erik Telford (activist). Since you had some involvement with the Erik Telford (activist) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Hugh (talk) 21:43, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. welcome back

good to see you are still around! (I have a new user name... formerly satusuro) JarrahTree 11:49, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I saw some comments on a talk page by JarrahTree and thought "That sounds like Satusuro", so that makes sense now. :) Might come to the next meet-up, but I don't know if I want to get properly drawn back into the world of Wikipedia... It's quite time-consuming and addictive. Somno (talk) 14:48, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
just to turn up for a meetup, does not necessarily constitute the implicit components of addiction... and properly drawn back is relative, some people at either 600 or 600,000 edits are not even necessarily in in understanding how the place works .... JarrahTree 00:16, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

thanks

happening next week and after, hope you might be able to make it to some of it! JarrahTree 23:34, 11 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up, but I'll be interstate for the whole thing! Thanks also for being so welcoming at the last meetup; it was great to meet you and the others. :) Somno (talk) 06:15, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
plenty stuff happening into the year... enjoy elsewhere... JarrahTree 10:59, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
