Horní Životice (German: Seitendorf) is a municipality and village in Bruntál District (german Kreis Freudenthal) in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants. Seitendorf was founded by germans called the Sudetendeutschen. Most of the older buildings were built before world war 2. Most of the citizens worked in agriculture, so the most of buildings are smaller or bigger farmhouses. There also was a little dayrihouse, a carpenter, shoemaker and some other handymen. In cemetry you can see some pre-war tombs. Most of the inhabitants went after war to southgermany (bavaria) and austria. The shrink of historical population in 1950 is caused by leaving of the "Sudetendeutschen". Most of the houses got "occupided" by czechs.
In 2024 most of the natives were no longer alive.
