Johan Djourou

[edit]

Hi, I understand your reasoning for removing the 2008 from his Birmingham years, but in fact the years in the infobox are those for which a player was contracted to each club, regardless of when (or if) he actually played for them. Djourou was contracted to Birmingham up to and including 1 January 2008, so he should be recorded as 2007–2008, even if it was only one day in 2008 and Birmingham's manager didn't select him for their game on that date. If you look at the documentation for the infobox (parameters section) you'll see it says years is for a "list of years that the player has been contracted at each professional club". hope this helps, cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:40, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jack Wilshere

[edit]

Following your comments at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Jack Wilshere, I've created a user space copy of the Jack Wilshere at User:Hashmander/Jack Wilshere.--PhilKnight (talk) 14:19, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So does that mean I can put his wiki page back up and it won't be deleted? Hashmander (talk) 14:31, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The purpose of a user space copy is to allow you to improve the page until it reaches a stage when you can repost the article. PhilKnight (talk) 14:44, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
oh ok, thanks. Hashmander (talk) 14:51, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I get the following message when I try to move the user space page to 'Jack Wilshere': "You cannot move a page to this location, because the new title has been protected from creation" Hashmander (talk) 00:17, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The article has been locked to prevent recreation. He still fails to meet the criteria of WP:ATHLETE, which is exactly why the article was deleted. Please wait until he actually plays a first team game. Then it can be restored. Cheers, пﮟოьεԻ 57 14:28, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, multiple, reliable non-trival sources would work too. I looked for them too and they don't seem to exist yet. Drunken Pirate (talk) 09:44, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Cesc Fàbregas, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
