Information icon Hello, I'm IagoQnsi. Your recent edit to the page 2017–18 Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Jay Huff is listed as a forward on the team website: http://www.virginiasports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/jay_huff_1014803.html IagoQnsi (talk) 21:43, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you've made a lot of changes to NCAA players' positions on team rosters, and every single one I've googled, I've found that ESPN and/or the team's website disagrees with your edit. I am going to revert all of your roster edits—please provide a source for these positions if you think they are indeed correct. –IagoQnsi (talk) 21:50, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Team history

[edit]

The convention in NBA and NFL bios is to list their past teams chronologically in the infobox. Separate stints with the same are not combined into one entry. Please get consensus at WT:NBA or WT:NFL, respectively, if you wish to change this. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 17:37, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Scottie Pippen. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges.

Please stop changing the infobox format of random NBA players. There is already a set format for displaying their tenure with each team. If you would like to change it, please establish consensus at WT:NBA.Bagumba (talk) 00:55, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
