Fails WP:GNG, calling them playing each other a rivalry is WP:OR as just a google search fails to turn up any pages calling it a rivalry. It was one of the longest consistently played games in college football history until Nebraska left for the Big 10 but it’s not a rivalry. Should be mentioned on both team’s pages but should not be a stand alone article. Rockchalk717 04:57, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

- Comment: This is not a current rivalry and has not been since 1969 when Nebraska began to dominate. However, it does appear to have been a legit rivalry for many decades prior to that when Kansas was a real football school. And with 117 games played, it remains one of the most frequently played series in college football history. No time right now, but I will do a deep dive into Newspapers.com (probably tomorrow) to search for articles discussing the series as a rivalry. Cbl62 (talk) 23:55, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
- Kansas hasn’t lead the All-time series since 1900 when it was just 5-4 after Nebraska won and it hasn’t been even tied since 1909. Nebraska has maintained a double digit lead in the series since 1922. Nebraska has always dominated the series, and this is coming from a Kansas fan. I don’t know about Nebraska fans, but me and most of my fellow Kansas fans do not consider it a rivalry.--Rockchalk717 04:46, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- Keep. It has not been a rivalry for > 50 years, and so it is not surprising that current fans are not familiar with the historic rivalry. Yet, this was once one of the major rivalries in the Midwest -- a border state rivalry between major state universities located three hours' drive from each other with a history dating back to 1892, a remarkable streak of 105 consecutive years with games played, and some premiere matchups including 1967 when Kansas upset No. 8 Nebraska and 1968 when #6 Kansas defeated #9 Nebraska. Here are some pieces addressing the rivalry: (1) 1906 article reviewing history of "Old Time Rivalry" and noting that "the two schools were geographical and logical rivals"); (2) 1914 article describing the two as "historic rivals" and "old-time football rival"; (3) 1916 article ("Tradition has made the Kansas-Nebraska conflict one of the classics of the Middle West" with "the old spirit of rivalry"); (4) 1917 article reviewing the rivalry's history and titled "Kansas-Neb. Teams Are Great Rivals"); (5) 1924 article reviewing the history and noting the "two schools have been friendly rivals since the nineties"; (6) 1927 article describing it as a "long gridiron rivalry" and "one of the oldest traditions in Cornhusker grid lore"; (7) 1931 article by Fielding H. Yost noting that "the old triangular rivalry between Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri attracted so much interest in the central west"; (8) 1935 article (describing "dyed-in-the-wool Jayhawk-Cornhusker rivalry" as an "intense football rivalry down thru the years"); (9) 1937 article ("Kansas, Nebraska Renew Rivalry"); (10) 1940 article ("Kansas and Nebraska rivalry dates back to the late 90s ... In recent years, however, the rivalry has been intense and the scores close."). Cbl62 (talk) 20:19, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
- keep 105 consecutive uninterrupted games, it clearly was a rivalry. Historically, quite the notable one. And notability is not temporary.--Paul McDonald (talk) 03:13, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
- Keep per excellent research (as per usual) from Cbl62. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 22:11, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
- Keep. Appears to meet WP:GNG, per Cbl62's research and sources. Ejgreen77 (talk) 23:01, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
