Alfa-taksilin
Alfa-taksilin, znan i kao interleukin-14 (IL-14) ili B-ćelijski faktor rasta visoke molelulske težine (HMW-BCGF) jest protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom TXLNA sa p kraka hromosoma 1.[5][6][7]
Interleukin-14 je citokin koji kontrolira rast i proliferaciju normalnih i kancerogenih B-ćelija.[8] Ova molekula je također nedavno nazvan taksilin.[9] IL-14 inducira proliferaciju B-ćelija, inhibira lučenje antitijela i proširuje odabrane podgrupe B-ćelija. Ovaj interleukin proizvode uglavnom T-ćelije i određene malignw B-ćelije

Gen
[uredi | uredi izvor]U mišjim modelima, dva različita transkripta se proizvode iz suprotnih lanaca il14 gena koji se nazivaju IL-14α i IL-14β.[10] Lokus il14 je kod ljudi blizu gena za LCK na hromosomu 1.
